Since the proposal for its establishment in 1902 by the retiree Rev. Matthew Kwong Yat Shau of Sheng Kung Hui, KYCH underwent numerous relocations, redevelopment and renovations in the past 100 more years during which the boundless grace of God with loving care, comfort and blessings has been experiencing in both the good and bad times. The design of the “K” emblem represents our power and protection from God and the “Pigeon” with its two full-fledged wings looks like a heart. The two combine to drive the following message home: “KYCH” with the power and protection as well as the grace and love from God acts as “the son of peace” delivering unreserved service to the elders to provide loving comfort and heavenly blessings to them in the latter years of their life with faith, hope and love.

Medical & Nursing Care Team
The blue color represents loyalty and trustworthiness, and also represents that the medical team, which is a team of loyal and trustworthy professionals, including registered nurses, pharmacists, physiotherapists, visiting geriatric doctors and outreach Chinese medicine practitioners, etc., providing one-stop professional care services.

Rehabilitation Care Team
The green color represents hope and calmness. We know that as we age, we will encounter changes in our physical functioning that will affect our psychological well-being. Our rehabilitation team hopes to bring the message of hope and resilience to the elderly, so that they can face it with a calm mind. Our registered physiotherapists and occupational therapists provide rehabilitation assessment and treatment according to their individual abilities so as to maintain or enhance their level of independence.

Spiritual Arts Care Team
The purple color represents purity, creativity and strength. We believe that arts have therapeutic effect and the elderly can create and transform their emotions through the multi-modalities of arts and spiritual arts programs we offer, thereby affirming their self-worth. In addition, arts can stimulate one's creativity and potential to flourish life.

Pastoral Care Team
The red color represents passion and joy. In align with our Christian mission, we emphasize the spiritual development of the elderly. Our pastoral care team provides various religious and spiritual care services to care for the elderly and their families. Hoping that peace and grace of Christ come to them. Moreover, registered social workers provide psychological assessment and counseling to promote their psycho-social-spiritual health of the elderly and their families.
