Service Targets

Elders must be over 60 years of age (as shown in their identity card). Individual considerations may be made under special circumstances.

Must undergo examination by registered western medical practitioners or registered geriatric or psychiatric doctors certifying that the elders are suitable for group life and need long term health care.

2.Assessment

Our professional staff would liaise with the applicant and proceed with the vetting procedures. On the day of assessment, the drug taken by the elderly and the doctor's diagnosis information should be brought together.

3. Notification of application result

Within 14 working days from the date of assessment, we will notify the applicant by phone of the application result, accommodation arrangement and required fees. For eligible cases, we will send a Confirmation of Service Acceptance within 14 working days.

4. Check in

After the applicant or guarantor completes the service confirmation form, bring it back to Kwong Yum Care Home together with the required service fee and two-month service fee deposit on the day of check-in.

Questions

We understand that it may be difficult for the elderly to come to our centre for assessment. We can arrange a video conference with the guarantor and the applicant for the assessment.

Mental preparation:Applicants must know and be willing to live in residential care homes for the elderly and be suitable for living with different groups of people. Regardless of the length of stay, family members should also provide support and work together with the team of the service center, so that the terminally ill elderly can successfully complete the journey of life. Preparation for living arrangements:In addition to preparing living arrangements for the applicant according to the "Item List" of our Care Home, family members are encouraged to prepare some items for the elderly that evoke fond memories and increase their sense of security and familiarity, such as bedding, photos, food, Small furnishings, etc., so that they can adapt to the new environment.

If a resident needs to terminate the service, they must submit a written request to the care home one month in advance or pay an amount equivalent to one month's service fee. (except for Residential Care Service Voucher users)
